Flyzones

Drawing Flyzones

Flyzones are the areas that you can draw on the map while planning your drone flight. This can be done in both the Drone Operation Center and in the Ground Control IOS & Android apps. Below are the steps to mark the flyzone for the flight.

Drone Operation Center

1. Create a new mission from the New Mission button on the top-left menu in the Drone Operation Center, or go to the Mission tab via the sidebar on the left in the Drone Operation Center. Click on the New Flight button in the top right corner of the Mission page.
2. This will redirect you to the New Mission page.
3. On the map, there are several icons in the top-right corner. The second icon from the left is to draw Flyzones.
4. Click on the Flyzone icon and draw points on the map to highlight the area where you want to fly your drone.
5. You can also mark the area of no-flyzones because of any area restrictions. To do so, click on the Flyzone icon, and select No Flyzone from the menu and draw the area on the map.

Ground Control IOS App

1. When you open the IOS app, you’ll automatically start on the ‘flyzones’ page. It’s also possible to navigate to this page by pressing on ‘flyzones’ in the bottom left corner.
2. Select the location and click on the Fly here button on the map. This will direct you to the map from where you can mark the flyzone similarly as in the Drone operation center.
3. Click on the flyzone icon, which is the second icon on the upper left menu. Draw points on the map to highlight the area where you want to fly your drone.
4. You can also mark the area of no-flyzone because of any area restrictions. To do so, click on the Flyzone icon, and select No Flyzone from the pop-out menu and draw the area on the map.

Ground Control Android App

Marking flyzone in the android app is similar to the IOS.

1. Like IOS, when you open the Android app, you’ll automatically start on the ‘flyzones’ page. It’s also possible to navigate to this page by pressing on ‘flyzones’ in the bottom left corner.
2. Select the location and click on the Fly here button on the map. This will direct you to the map from where you can mark the flyzone similarly as in the IOS.
3. Click on the flyzone icon, which is the first icon in the bottom menu. Draw points on the map to highlight the area where you want to fly your drone.
4. You can also mark the area of no-flyzones because of any area restrictions. To do so, click on the Flyzone icon, and select No Flyzone from the pop-out menu and draw the area on the map.
